Figureworks 2015

I was delighted and honoured to have my coloured pencil painting “To Make a Long Story Short” named the  first prize winner in this year’s Figureworks 2105 art exhibition. The painting depicts my mother-in-law gazing out her window into what could be her future or it could be pondering a life richly lived….you decide.  More info at http://figureworks.org/2015/show-2015.html

http://pencilartsociety.com/shows/ipas2015/gallery.html. My drawing of my mother-in-law Joan was a study of a life lived full and well…..an amazing woman – a survivor who always sees the glass half full. Entitled “To Make A Long Story Short”, it was indeed a labour of love and pure joy to create!
